==========================

For our East Bay Stories of Empathy project, we would like to work together with community organizations in Richmond and the general East Bay. If your organization is interested in collaborating with us, let us know.

To begin with, we would like to do a casual 15-20 minute video interview of  the director of your organization on their personal and organizational experience with empathy.  We will ask a few questions like: What role does empathy play in your personal  life? What role does empathy play in your organization? etc. The interviews will be placed on the Youtube 'Stories of Empathy Channel'.

We are holding longer and more in depth interview workshops at the Richmond Art Center. These free workshops meet on 3 Sundays for 4 hours and involve taking part in a series of art activities to tell a personal story about empathy. See this video about the general format of a workshop. (Joan Kuenz introduces the interview workshop process). We ask that your organization invite your members to take part in this interview process. The interview workshops take place from August to November 2009.We would like a cross section of Richmond area residence to take part.

In May of 2010, we will hold an art exhibit and video presentation of the final Stories of Empathy video. We would also ask that you send out an announcement about this event to your members as well
