Phase 1
   Outreach

I'm starting to layout an outline of some steps that need to be done. The next steps of the East Bay Stories of Empathy project is outreach to organizations.   Anyone have ideas and suggestions for the next steps?

1.1. Compile List of Bay Area Organizations

  • Compile a list of East Bay area organizations.

    • do you have a personal connection to any organizations?

    • know of any to add?

  •  the UU, and congregational churches seem like good candidates

    •   (Lowell and Patricia have connections)

  • Art organizations

    • (Joanie has connections with digitalartsclub.com)

  • others?

1.2. Create Empathy Presentation

  • creating a empathy presentation to take to organizations.

  • what's the outline? (Chris had started some brainstorming on this)

    • need a

      • print,

      • web, and

      • video version.

    •  It's also something we need to brainstorm on.

    • give presentation to East Bay organizations.
here's the link to the Organizations list.

    •  the presentation should be scalable, from 3 to 20 minutes.

1.3. Contact organizations and give presentation.

  • Michele told me that I could present a 3 minute explanation of the project to the Richmond Neighborhood council which is comprised of 32 individual neighborhood councils.

  • so other organizations would give more time for a presentation.

1.4. Video tape interview with organizations.

  •  I talked with Phoenix over at BayNVC and we're looking to interview their trainers, (7-14 of them).

  • We're trying to line up a interview session around May 17th.
