Being a Staff Volunteer
The California Stories Fund grant has a column
for Volunteer/Docents. The grant requires matching funds and volunteers
can have their hours work toward the grant as 'in-kind' matching funds.
We're working on formalizing and structuring the volunteering process. We're
doing
that for the participating organizations as well.
Volunteer Tasks
Volunteering can be all the work we do in and out of the meetings that's geared toward the
creating and actualizing the Stories of Empathy project. Things like;
-
working on the grant in the group
-
editing
-
brainstorming
-
outreach to get organizations involved
-
creating a presentation that we take to
different groups
-
researching
-
setting up art activities
-
helping with the interview workshops
-
helping with the final art exhibit
-
etc, etc. etc.
Assisting from other Locations.
If you're in a different city or state you can
still get involved online. We'll figure out some way that you can contribute to
the project over the internet.
Video taping Volunteer's Empathy Stories
We will video tape the empathy stories of all the volunteers. Perhaps we could
do a separate interview workshop with everyone that is a Volunteer.
If you'd like to volunteer,

email and
send to me.
